Environmental Services Aide
WGH is hiring Environmental Service Aides to work in a casual capacity to help cover scheduling gaps, based on your availability!
Excellent opportunity that could lead to a part-time or full-time position.
GENERAL DUTIES:
High Dusting horizontal and vertical surfaces
Disinfect surfaces with approved germicidal cleaner
Must follow directions of cleaning chemicals correctly and use safely
Removal of all municipal, infectious and chemotherapy waste from work area
Dry mop and wet mop any tile, vinyl or concrete flooring
Vacuum and edge clean carpeted areas
Cleaning patient discharge beds and stands. Make bed with clean linen
Clean, Maintain and Operate all equipment in a safe manner (floor cleaners, sweepers, shredder)
Remove and replace cubicle curtains or draperies
Strip floor finish from tile, vinyl or concrete flooring
Apply floor finish to tile, vinyl or concrete flooring
Must be knowledgeable of hospital, departmental and infection control policies
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School education or equivalent
