WMG Practice Administrator & Physician Services
General Description:
Directs the overall operation and provides executive leadership in medical group practices including patient care, physician employment, strategic planning, marketing, and financial performance.
Essential Job Duties:
· Directs overall operation of multi-specialty medical practices.
· Negotiates and maintains employment contracts with all APPs(Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants and Nurse Midwives).
· Completes monthly productivity reporting to Warren Medical Group providers.
· Completes annual provider productivity bonus determination for all WMG providers.
· Directs delivery of Quality program within Warren Medical Group, including metric selection and provider/staff incentive program.
· Collaboratively works with physicians to ensure medical group practices align with hospital’s mission, vision and core values.
· Role of liaison between medical practices and other departments of the hospital, facilitating communication and operations where these groups interact.
· Leads Occupational Medicine program, which includes Occupational Medicine service delivery at the North Warren Walk In Clinic, oversight to the Occupational Medicine Patient Care Coordinator, arrangement of corporate health fairs, and new client contract negotiation.
· Communicates clearly and concisely with internal and external customers.
· Facilitates constructive relationships with individuals and groups.
· Builds effective teams within the medical practice environment.
· Uses comparative analysis strategies to identify strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.
· Conducts a needs analysis, identifies and prioritizes requirements.
· Employs operating budget principles.
· Creates a monitoring system for licensure, credentialing and recertification of licensed independent providers.
· Coordinates marketing activities with medical staff and physician activities.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Work/Education Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in health or business administration, or significant experience managing physician practices
· CMPE, FACMPE or FACHE desirable
· Minimum of 3 years of management experience in an ambulatory setting
