Marketing & Communications Director
The Director of Marketing & Communication coordinates and oversees all activities related to public image of the hospital, including public relations materials, social media, grants processing, press releases, and communication pieces. Additionally, oversees general fundraising development programs for the organization.
Essential Duties:
Reviews all print materials for the hospital including advertising, newsletters/community publications, and education literature and brochures.
Community Relations Liaison working with organizations and business concerns for the development of integrated health awareness programs and educational campaigns.
Coordinate and maintain all WGH/WMG social media accounts to include posts, promotion, open positions, events, etc., ensuring footprint on all available platforms to highlight services, providers, openings, and/or events at WGH and WMG.
Respond appropriately to social media questions and concerns; directing patient comments/questions/concerns to the appropriate area for response.
Marketing Strategies – works with administrative team and medical staff to create and promote services of Warren General Hospital, including review of internal and external data, including competitive analysis.
Development and maintenance of website to accurately reflect vision, service lines, etc.
Creates and maintains development activities for the financial sustenance of the hospital.
Coordinate the full grant applications process consisting of:
Search all available data, websites, etc., for available grants depending on purpose and scope of project.
Handle the application process, reaching out to other departments for information as needed (i.e. Finance, Human Resources, etc.)
Ensure accuracy in grant submission process including: monitor all grants in progress to ensure follow-up is completed as necessary; take action on all grants as needed, to move through the application/decision process; maintain strict confidentiality to information provided as part of a grant application.
Assist in the plan and execution of social events as scheduled (i.e. Service Award Dinner, Summer Sizzler, Annual Gala, etc.
Marketing of employed physician practices and Hospital service lines, as well as monitor and oversee their Google ratings.
Coordinates Community Outreach activities and health screenings with appropriate hospital personnel.
Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with department managers, local vendors, business and the community.
Remain updated on the ever-changing social media platforms; ensuring WGH and WMG are using the latest channels to contact our patients, employees and community.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, graphic design, public relations or related field. Master’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing preferred.
5+ years’ experience in creating and managing the marketing, development and communication channels of a healthcare facility.
Demonstrated skills in publication design and written word.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for multiple target audiences.
Superb computer literacy including graphic design, publication creation, and photography skills.
Ability to exhibit extreme flexibility with priorities and deadlines, and work independently.
Excellent customer service and organizational skills, as well as a friendly outgoing personality.
Flexible scheduling required, may involve evening and weekend obligations.
Must be a self-starter and self-directed at times.
Must be able to multi-task; managing multiple grants, projects, events, etc., simultaneously in various stages.
