Physician Assistant, Orthopedics

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing orthopedic practice. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with our orthopedic surgeon and clinical staff in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Position Summary

The Orthopedic Physician Assistant will provide comprehensive patient care under the supervision of an orthopedic physician. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, assisting in procedures, developing treatment plans, and supporting patients throughout their orthopedic care journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform patient evaluations, medical histories, and physical exams

  • Assist physicians in clinic and surgical settings (if applicable)

  • Diagnose and manage orthopedic conditions and injuries

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (X-rays, MRIs, labs, etc.)

  • Develop and implement treatment plans

  • Provide patient education on diagnoses, treatment options, and recovery

  • Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and support staff

  • Participate in on-call rotation, if required

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

  • Current PA license in the state of practice (or eligible)

  • Orthopedic experience preferred (new graduates with strong interest encouraged to apply)

  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
