Culinary Aide
JOB DUTIES:
Routine procedures in food storage, preparation, service and sanitation for both patient meals and public cafeteria service
Checks trays for proper food temperatures; Assists cooks as needed
Delivers food carts to floors; heat and assemble trays for patients
Stocks kitchen on nursing units; stocks food items in stockroom, coolers and freezer
Performs cashiering duties including cashing out and depositing monies in the designated area for lock-up
Performs various cleaning functions and sanitation of work areas and equipment
Performs pre-washing and washing duties for reusable china, pots, utensils, etc.
Transports and disposes of garbage and rubbish
WORK/ EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High school education or equivalent
Good communication skills
Flexibility to work varying schedules [kitchen hours are 6am to 7:30pm]
