Nurses are honored for their extraordinary acts of compassion at a ceremony that is held each quarter. DUE TO THE CORONAVRUS, THE FOLLOWING CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE AT WGH: Warren General Hospital will implement a NO VISITOR policy. The exceptions will be Maternity Health Care and those patients near end-of-life. In these cases, one (1) visitor will be allowed at a time. Starting Saturday March 21st, 2020, Hospital access will be limited to entrances F (Main Entrance), B (Riverside Entrance) and E (Emergency Care Center). After 6:00 pm we ask that everyone enter through the Emergency Entrance E All patients / individuals entering Warren General Hospital will be screened though a series of questions regarding potential COVID-19 exposure, travel and health symptoms. In compliance with government mandates and recommendations, Warren General Hospital is limiting services and procedures to only those determined to be of an EMERGENT or URGENT need. During the current community health emergency, we ask that any patient making a payment on their Warren General Hospital or Warren Medical Group bill to either mail the payment or make the payment online. Our mailing address is 2 Crescent Park West, Warren PA 16365. An online payment can be made atwww.wgh.org, click on Make A Payment under Quick Links at the bottom of the web page. If you have a question regarding your bill for Warren General Hospital or Warren Medical Group, please call 814-726-1424 or 1-866-814-5421. New Health Insurance plans at WGH

GREETINGS from WGH! Over the past few months there has been significant work completed on two very important healthcare insurance plans serving residents in our community. WGH is pleased to announce that we have signed agreements with the following healthcare plans; Pennsylvania Health and Wellness (PA Health and Wellness) - a community Medicaid Managed Care (MCO) Plan. Veterans Affairs Community Care Network (VA CCN) - a provider choice plan serving veterans in our community. Residents living in Warren and the surrounding region covered by these healthcare plans now have unfettered access to the outstanding inpatient and outpatient care and service delivered to you by the dedicated and compassionate staff of Warren General Hospital.

FIRST DAISY AWARD WINNER FOR WGH Colleen Rex, RN On February 20th, 2020 a Medical-Surgical / Oncology Nurse at Warren General Hospital was Honored The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurse. The award is part of the DAISY Foundations program to recognize the super-human efforts nurses perform every day. The first DAISY Award recipient at Warren General Hospital is Colleen Rex RN. Colleen was nominated by a family member of a patient she cared for on the Medical-Surgical Unit back on September 29th, 2019. The patients family member noted Coleen for being very attentive, pleasant and smart. This family member also stated that Colleen Rex RN was the type of nurse that communicated well between the patient and Physician making the patient more comfortable with their stay at Warren General Hospital. My husband was being cared for on 3B after an episode of syncope. Colleen was very attentive, pleasant, and smart. My husband can be somewhat stubborn and she was able to make him laugh and more

A machine-readable format is a format that can be easily integrated into a computer system or statistical program (e.g., XML, CSV). This could be in the form of the chargemaster (a standard itemized pricing format used by all hospitals) itself or another form of the hospitals choice, as long as the information is in machine-readable format. Great day for Warren General and our Community! On Monday, September 24th Warren General Hospital entered into Partnership with Allegheny Health Network, LECOM Health, and Highmark Health. The agreement provides funding to improve services and advance medical care in our community. It was agreed by our new Partners and our Hospital Board of Directors that we remain an independent organization. The WGH Board of Directors remains in control of services offered and care provided to the residents of the greater Warren area. I applaud the WGH Board of Directors for their hard work and very careful study over the past eighteen months arriving at this important decision leading to a very bright future for Warren General.
