Volunteer Services Department
The program was established to accomplish a fourfold purpose:
1. To provide desirable services that supplement the essential services of the hospital’s staff as they provide comprehensive health care to the community.
2. To help create and promote in the community an understanding of the hospital and its services through the volunteer who becomes a part of the hospital.
3. To enable persons to observe health professionals and to consider firsthand a variety of careers.
4. To provide an opportunity for persons to gain a sense of usefulness, companionship, self-satisfaction and heightened self-esteem by helping the community hospital and others.
